My family’s connection to East Paris began in the summer of 2004 with a friendly handshake and a “Welcome to East Paris!” We had just moved to the Grand Rapids area, and we were looking for a church while I was taking classes at Calvin Seminary. Since that first handshake, our relationship with the congregation at East Paris has grown stronger and closer, and God has used this congregation to help nurture our love for him and our faith in his Son, Jesus Christ. My wife Marilyn is now one of the leaders of the Coffee Break group that meets every Thursday morning. My children have adopted all the grandmas and grandpas in this church as their own! And since June, 2007, it has been my privilege to serve this caring, Christ-centered community as an intern pastor while I complete my preparation for ministry.
